18- O’Shea directs a pass or a shot for a point that drops just shor t, there and alive to the possibilities is wing-forward Diarmuid O’Connor who gets the slightest of touches to direct the ball to the back of Cormac Halsam’s net
20- Desmond Conneely points a free for Galway to keep them in touch as Kerry threaten to open out a meaningful advantage
22- Shortly afterwards that’s precisely what Kerry do. Dara Moynihan sends a ball towards David Clifford who, much like in the semi-final, fields and gets the ball to David Shaw who finishes to the net with aplomb

30- Galway need to hit the ground running at the start of the second half and they do just that. Conneely picked out the inrushing Adam Quirke for a well worked score
31- Galway’s fine star t to the half continues with a second score within sixty seconds with Ryan Forde setting up Rober t Finner ty for a point
36- Kerry, despite Galway’s fine star t to the half, fashion a goal chance for Dara Moynihan, but Cormac Halsam is equal to it
37- Barry Goldrick replaces Evan Murphy on the Galway team
40- Finner ty points a free for Galway
41- Kerry get their first score of the half after eleven minutes of it are played, Diarmuid O’Connor assisting rampaging wing-back Niall Collins for a point from play
42- Sean O’Shea fields a kick-out wonderfully, goes on a brilliant run and seems to have pointed... but Hawkeye has different ideas
43- Ryan Forde points from play as Galway continue to chase Kerry down. It’s now a three point game
