Ballyfilemore drop to Div 3
COUNTY SFL PLAY-OFFS
THE Division 2 relegation playoff at Killorglin saw St Michaels-Foilmore relegated to Division 3 next season following a one point loss to Listry, after extra time, 1-8 to 1-7.
Annascaul defeated Gneeveguilla by 2-7 to 0-9, having trailed by 0-8 to 1-2 at the break, in Round 1 of the Division 3 play-off at Ballymac on Sunday last. Annascaul will now play St Pats this Sunday in Ballymac (1pm) for the third promotion place to Division 2 next season behind Ardfert and Currow.
Meanwhile, in Division 3 there is a three-way promotion play-off and Duagh defeated Tuosist by 1-9 to 0-9 in Milltown on Sunday to become the second team to be promoted to Division 4 behind champions Castlegregory. Tuosist now meet Sneem-Derrynane to decide the third team to be promoted. That is another game that is delayed by Kenmare District’s participation in the SFC.
JUNIOR CUPS
Barrett Cup: St Marys defeated Clounmacon by 4-11 to 2-7 in the Barrett Cup semi-final last weekend and they now await the winners of the second semi-final between Kenmare and Beaufort which is down for decision on Sunday next in Beaufort at 11:30am.
Cahill Cup: Charlie Kerins defeated Tarbert by 4-17 to 0-9 in the first semi-final of the Cahill Cup last weekend but the other semi final ended in stalemate when Skellig Rangers and Churchill drew under lights in Barraduff (3-6 to 2-9). They replay on this Friday in John Mitchels at 7pm.
JUNIOR LEAGUES
CURROW and Dr Crokes have qualified for the final of Group 7 which is down for decision on Sunday at a venue to be decided.
