PATTERN WEEKEND EVENTS

On Wednesday 28th September 9.30pm, there is music with Paddy Casey and friends in Tig Rosie. Thursday 29th September 10.30am Rounds of the well and short talk on the history of St Michaels Well followed by tea and scones and maybe a few songs in the Community Hall. Fri 30th September Music in Tig Rosie with Paddy Casey and friends. Sat, 1st Oct at 8pm Talk in Hall by Professor John O’ Halloran entitled “Tracking birds in Kerry and beyond”. On Saturday night there will be music in Tig Rosie with Dominic and Joe. Sun 2nd at 11.30am join us in Ballinskel­ligs Abbey where Fr. Gunn will celebrate Sunday Mass in the Abbey (weather permitting). Afterwards join us in the Hall for tea and scones and have a look at the old photograph­s of Ballinskel­ligs which will be on display all weekend.

Mon 3rd October Ballinskel­ligs Abbey revealed through the current works campaign, a talk by Grellan D Rourke. Tue 4th of October at 8.00pm Jackie Sugrue returns to hall with set dancing classes.

NEW BUS SERVICE

Local Link Kerry offers a bus service leaving Waterville at 09.00 (every Friday & Saturday) with a return time from Cahercivee­n to Waterville at 11.35 (every Friday, Saturday) There is also a 14.00 bus from Waterville to Killorglin stopping in Cahercivee­n, Glenbeigh and Killorglin (every Friday, Saturday & Sunday). The buses are timed to meet the Bus Eireann Route 279a to and from Killarney. Cost €5, Under 12 is €2.50 and Free Travel Pass is accepted. CONGRATULA­TIONS

Congratula­tions to Colm and Heidi who recently got married in Dungeagan, Ballinskel­ligs. Their reception hall was decorated by family and friends with the many wild flowers of the surroundin­g area. Chef James and his accomplish­ed team presented a beautiful meal that was enjoyed by all. We wish Colm and Heidi many happy years together. Their wedding was a lovely coming together of Norwegian and Irish traditions.

CLAN NA GAEL PLAYERS

All the way from the USA will perform their one act Play “Forty Shades Of Green” in the Community hall Ballinskel­ligs on Thursday Oct 13th at 8.00PM. They will be joined by our local Sketch group so a great night of entertainm­ent is guaranteed.

All proceeds go to Ballinskel­ligs Community Care.
