- By SIMON BROUDER

SIX months after a devastating fire destroyed her business, Kenmare businesswoman Sarah Durkin has reopened her shop.

Last month Sarah and her team were delighted to throw open the doors of The White Room at a new location on Henry Street in Kenmare.

The new store showcases carefully chosen collections for the home, outdoors and children, as well as the brand’s signature traditional linen and lace.

The interior of the shop has been divided into ‘rooms’ to display living, kitchen, dining, bathroom as well as garden, in imaginative settings.

Jam Café provided food for the opening night, prosecco and wine flowed and the Dingle Gin Bar was a huge hit as were the surprise goodie bags presented to all customers.

Sarah and her team said they wanted to thank everyone who has supported them through what was a very tough six months.

“We are very proud, happy and excited to be in our beautiful new shop and look forward to welcoming customers new and old,” said Sarah Durkin.

As well as offering a wide range of linen lace and home wares the shop also sells jewellery, scarves accessories, children’s clothes, nightwear and baby gifts.

The White Room is also run- ning Autentico Chalk Paint up-styling workshops and bookings can be made by calling 064 66 40600 or messaging them on Facebook at the white room kenmare.
