THE only game played in this division was between two of the leading title contenders and predictabl­y it ended in a draw. Stephen O’Sullivan scored for Tralee Celtic and Michael O’Dowd scored for Castlegreg­ory.

DENNY DIVISION 1B AC Athletic 2 Classic FC 1

AC Athletic continue to set the pace in this division and they made it three wins on the trot after accounting for Classic FC 2-1 in the top of the table clash.

This was a close game all the way with Jason Wallace putting AC ahead. However, Classic equalised with a great free kick from Ryan Carroll and it looked as if the sides would have to settle for a share of the spoils.

But like they have done so many times in the past AC finished strongly and up popped Jason Wallace again in the final minute to score a dramatic winner.

Strand Road 4 Inter Kenmare B 0

STRAND Road picked up three points with a comfortabl­e 4-0 win over Inter Kenmare B. Milos Arvic (2), Dan Kinsella and Wes Meehan scored for the Tralee side.

Sporting Listowel 4 Listowel Celtic B 0

SPORTING Listowel won the Fealeside derby with an impressive 4-1 win over Listowel Celtic B. Thomas McCarthy (2), Sean Gilbert and Brian Greaney scored for Sporting while Jo Jo Grimes scored for Celtic.

DENNY DIVISION 2 Lenamore Rovers 1 Tralee Celtic 3

IT is great to see Lenamore Rovers back in the KDL but it was a losing come back as they went down 3-1 to Tralee Bay FC. Moss Kenrick scored for the Ballylongf­ord side while Jason Quirke (2) and Ian Flaherty scored for Tralee Bay.

CS Abbeydorne­y 7 Annascaul/Inch Utd 2

CS Abbeydorne­y were in great scoring on Sunday and blew away the challenge of Annascaul/Inch with a 7-2 victory. Stevie O’Sullivan was in sparkling form for the winners bagging four goals. Colm McCarthy (penalty), Marcos Prendivill­e and Gearoid McCarthy completed the scoring for the winners.

Clanmauric­e 3 Abhainn Li 2

CLANMAURIC­E made it two wins on the trot after they edged out Abhainn Li 3-2 in a very competitiv­e game. Keith Carmody scored a brace of goals for the winners and Cathal Kearney scored the other goal.
