ARCHITECT, PETRA WALSH, MAKES HER MARK IN KERRY...
PETRA Walsh is an architect who has recently opened up a practice in Ballybunion. Petra studied Architecture in the Czech Technical University in Prague, qualifying with a Masters degree in 2006. She has worked internationally on projects such as the world-renowned New Hamad International Airport in Qatar.
Petra has over ten years experience working in Ireland with firms such as Thompson’s Architects in Limerick, Open Architects in Dublin and Sepam of Clonmel. She is a Member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland. In 2010, she was also awarded her Masters in the History of Art and Architecture from the University of Limerick.
Petra now resides with her husband and daughter in North Kerry. Her practice is influenced by contemporary design. It focuses on private residential and retail clients, taking projects from initial design through to completion.
About her work Petra says, “I do not design modern buildings per se – I always strive for a dialogue. Dialogue with the client, with the site, and with its wider surroundings. And of course keeping within the boundaries of budget and technical possibilities.”
Petra is available for a consultation Mon-Fri.
