TIDY TOWNS

Portmagee Tidy Towns Committee are delighted with a six mark increase this year earning the village a bronze award . Congratula­tions to all the volunteers, CE Scheme workers, Rural Social Scheme workers, Scoil Bhreannain, residents, fishermen, business owners and the various bodies who have helped Portmagee Tidy Towns during the year. This is truly a team effort where everyone can play their part and we look forward to everyone working together again in the coming year.

COURSES FOR FARMERS

Courses for Farmers commencing shortly in the O’Connell Centre, Cahersivee­n

Farmers Computer Basics Training - 8 week course - starting Monday 10th October, 8pm-10pm - Cost €40

Farmers Computer Advanced Internet Training - 10 week course - starting Wednesday 28th September, 8pm-10pm - Cost €75

Both courses will cover using ICBF; Dept of Agricultur­e & Teagasc websites; Weather forecast sites; Done Deal and more.

SOCIAL DANCING

Social Dancing is commencing again at Portmagee Community Centre on Monday 10th October from 8:30 to 9:30pm. All Welcome.

Dance classes Zumba style in Portmagee Community Centre every Thursday from 8.30-9.30pm.

YOUTH CLUB REGISTRATI­ON

Registrati­on for youth club in Portmagee Community Center on Friday the 7th of October @ 7.30. Cost is €20. Parents must be there to fill in the form.
