UNDER 14 BOYS: Laune Rangers retained the Mid Kerry Under 14 ‘A’ title on Sunday last with a fine victory in the Final against Beaufort. Beaufort took the lead with a point in the opening minute, but Laune Rangers soon found form and

took the lead in the 4th minute - Callum Russell converting a penalty that he won himself having been fouled by the goalkeeper. Rangers dominated the remainder of the opening stages and by the 15th minute, they lead by 3-3 to 0-3 with goals from Eoin Hassett and Dean Cahill, with Barry O’Connor, Callum Russell (free) and Matthew Leslie adding the points. By half time, Laune Rangers were in a commanding position, as a Sean Cleary was followed by points from Matthew Leslie, Dean Cahill and Eoin Hassett to see the Killorglin boys head for the dressing rooms at the break with the score at Half Time:- Laune Rangers 4-6, Beaufort 0-4. Laune Rangers continued to extend their lead from the restart, and two further Callum Russell goals added to points from Gearoid Hassett, Barry O’Connor (2) and Sean Cleary left them in the commanding position, leading 6-10 to 0-7 with 10 minutes to play. Beaufort were like a different team for the final ten minutes, laying siege to the Rangers goal. Jake Reinstierna pulled off a number of saves in goal, including one from a penalty shot. Rangers fell back into defence, allowing Beaufort attack and they reduced the gap to six points before the final whistle with four goals. The Final score:- Laune Rangers 6-10, Beaufort 4-10. Subs: Darragh Mangan, Eoin Hassett, Mark Clifford. UNDER 12 GIRLS: Laune Rangers Under 12 Girls won the East Kerry Division 2 Final against Rathmore. Laune Rangers 4-9 to Rathmore 2-7. It was a great display by all players. LADIES: The season is over for all Ladies teams now. Many thanks to all parents, coaches and especially players for all their efforts this year. SCÓR: The Laune Rangers Qualifying Round of this year’s Scór na nÓg will be held on Thursday 13th October. The competitions are: Figure Dancing, Solo Singing, Instrumental Music Group, Ballad Group, Recitation, Set Dancing and Quiz. Competitors must be Under 17 on 1st January 2017.
