HSS rebrand as Ayrton Group

-

HSS commenced business in Newmarket in Central North Cork in the 1990s. Established in 1993 by its Managing Director, Kieran Linehan, the company first began in Killavullen, transferred to Newmarket and then due to expansion, in 2006 built its own offices and Training Centre, which is based in Scarteen Business Park, Newmarket.

The Newmarket Training Centre is the largest purpose built safety training centre in Ireland, with accommodation for 70 trainees at any time. It provides some of the most practical based safety training programs on the market, as well as 10 acres of outdoor space for green field training. In 1999 we entered the Leinster market, with offices in Ballymount and in 2015 expanded our business yet again and opened our new and much larger offices and Training Centre at Tallaght, Dublin.

With celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2013, the company has gone from strength to strength, and we commenced a process of rebranding to reflect the change in the market. This culminated in our launch this month of the Ayrton Group.

Why have we decided to rebrand? We had felt for quite a while that ‘Health and Safety Services’ no longer fully reflected the diverse range of services offered by our company. Yet, while we still lead the way in provision of safety training and consultancy in Ireland, we now offer a growing selection of consultancy services and staffing solutions, in Ireland, the UK, Belgium, Switzerland and Sweden.

Having invested heavily since our foundation, we have most recently spent €500,000 in preparing and developing our Dublin branch, where we now command a large market share in Leinster. But with our new brand the Ayrton Group and our marketing strategy we aim to progress much further in our growth.

In addition to the launch of our new brand, we have also announced the addition of 60 new jobs to our current workforce of over 100 staff. From our Newmarket base, where there are currently 25 roles ranging from administration, to accounts, sales and management, we will be adding another 20 roles in Cork, as well as 40 roles in Dublin. These will consist of HSE managers, safety officers, PSDP engineers, trainers, accounts, administration and sales.
