KILLEENTIE­RNA YOUTH CLUB

On This Friday night Oct 14th there will be a normal Club Night in the Hall in Currow from 8.p.m to 10.p.m. All Secondary School going Teenagers from the Parish can Join the Club. Applicatio­n Forms will be available on the night.

MISSION SUNDAY

Mission Sunday 2016 will be celebrated on the weekend of October 22/23. This year’s theme is “Every Christian is a Missionary”.

The Diocese of Kerry is hosting an evening on Monday October 17 at 8pm in The Rose Hotel, Tralee. Charlie Bird will speak of his visit to missionary projects and Caroline Reid, Irish Refugee Council, will address Ireland’s response to the global refugee crisis.

CLOTHES COLLECTION

Collection of old clothes, handbags, bedlinen etc. can be handed into Scoil Mhuire agus Naomh Treasa on Wednesday October 12 between 9.30am and 3pm.

ANAM CARA

Anam Cara, the organisati­on that supports bereaved parents is holding its next monthly Parent Evening on Tuesday October 11 from 7.30pm to 9pm in Recovery Haven, 5 Haigs Terrach, Killerisk, Tralee, Co. Kerry.

This event is open to all bereaved regardless of the age your child died, the circumstan­ces of their death, or whether the death was recent or not.

HISTORICAL LECTURE

Roger Casement: the man 1864-1916. Speaker: Seán Seosamh Ó Conchubhai­r on Thursday October 13 from 8pm to 10pm at Ardfert Retreat Centre.

MOBILE LIBRARY

Mobile Library will visit Currow on Thursday next, October 13, from 10.15-11.00am.

This is a free service for all ages. However if you are not already a member of a Library please bring identifica­tion on your first visit.
