MASTERGEEHA FC
U11 Mastergeeha v Inter Kenmare. Mastergeeha played Kenmare at home on Saturday morning in a mini blitz. All tried their best with lots of goals for both sides along the way.
U13 National Cup - Mastergeeha 9-0 Mountshannon. Mastergeeha were much too strong for Clare side Mountshannon at Kilbrean Park on Saturday afternoon. All played well with goals from Mark O’Shea 3, Colin and Oisin O’Leary 2 each with Donagh Fahy and Oran Dwyer getting one each.
U15 Div 1 - Park B 3 Mastergeeha 1. The lads lost out in this cracking game between two very evenly matched sides. They defended well throughout and created some good goal scoring chances with Philip O’Leary and Shane Warren going close in the 1st half before the home side scored just before the break to take the lead. Mastergeeha started the better team in the 2nd half with both O’Leary and Warren again going close but the Park doubled their lead with 10mins to go. Shane Warren responded when he swept home following super wing play from Philip O’Leary but the home side struck again in the closing stages to take the points as Mastergeeha pushed for the equaliser.
U17 - Killorglin 3 Mastergeeha 2. In this close game the boys opened the scoring when Paul O Shea finished well from the edge of the box. However just before the break the home side equalised. In the second half Mastergeeha took the lead again with Jamie O Shea finishing off a good move. In the closing stages of the game the Killorglin side scored twice and despite their best efforts the boys could not get the equaliser they deserved.
Seniors Div 1B - Mastergeeha 3 Listowel 1. Mastergeeha collected all three points courtesy of a home win on Sunday afternoon. Geariod Kerins, Jason O Sullivan and Derry Ahern were the goal scorers in this good performance.
