Progeny- Bull Dam display at Millstreet Show this year
A MAJOR attraction at this year’s “National Dairy Show” in Millstreet on the 22nd of October will be a display of some of the Best bull dams + progeny in the Country, It is hoped that all the main Ai Companies will have Animals on display in Millstreet & some notable cows that you can come along to view on the day are “Radney QUR ODDETTA” a superb 10 year old cow that is Classified Ex93-7 times, has completed 8 lactations with an average yield of 10,000 litres @ 4.23% Fat & 3.89% Protein,
More Amazedly, This Cow calved for the first time on 07/02/2008 & calved in for the 8th time on 06/02/2015, gaining one day over the 8 lactations! Her owner & Breeder “Henry O Keeffe” decided to flush ODDETTA extensively last spring & there are now numerous progeny on the way at Knockavilla, Freemount, in North Cork. She is breeding exceptionally well with a high profile son in Ai;-“Radney Levi 5” YRY, YRY is a Eurogene sire that is now standing over in Cogent UK & offers a great all-round package of Milk, High Solids & Fertility, YRY is also a proven Ease of Calving Sire. His full sister calved in this past Spring with a FR2028 son that has gone to Dovea Ai station. She classified VG85 as a 2yr old!
