A HUGE win here for Ballyhar against one of the title contenders in the division. Goals from Shane O’Donoghue and Dan O’Shea put the home side two up, but Tralee Celtic fought back with two goals leaving it 2-2 at half-time.

But a brace of goals from Mike Daly in the 70th and 80th minutes ensured victory for the home side. Best for Ballyhar were Brian O’Sullivan, Ed Kerrisk, Adrian Courtney, Padraig O’Mahony, James O’Donoghue and Padraig O’Conor.

Most of the action in this game occurred in the opening 11 minutes with Ballymac going ahead after just 30 seconds with a Danny Madden goal. However, that was as good as it got for them as 3 quick fire goals from Mike Duggan, Ryan Carroll and David Courtney in the space of 10 minutes sealed the game for Classic.

Listowel Celtic B 1 Strand Road FC 3

STRAND Road go six points clear at the top of the table after accounting for Listowel Celtic B. Dan Kinsella, Dillon Hennebery and Richie Hurley scored for the Tralee side.

Windmill United 2 Killarney Athletic B 1

WITH just a point from their opening two games Windmill got into their stride on Sunday but had to work hard to defeat Killarney Athletic.
