NOVEMBER MASSES

November massesfor the people who died during the year in the parish will take place on the following date; Ballyhar on Friday 11th November at 7.30pm and Firies on Friday 18th Nov at 7.30pm.

SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to Diana Cronin and James McCarthy, firies and the McCarthy family, Bishop Moynihan Crescent, Killarney on the death if their mother, Carmel. May she Rest in Peace.

IVERAGH MEN’S CHOIR

The choir will sing at the vigil mass in Firies Church on Saturday 5th November at 7.30pm. All are welcome.

HOSPITAL CHAPEL

Annual November mass for patients who died, including miscarriag­es and still births, willtake place on Monday 7th November at 7.00pm. Relatives and friends are invited.

ANAM CARA

Anam Cara supports bereaved parents and is holding the monthly parents evening on Tuesday 8th of November at 7.30 in Recovery Haven, Killerisk, Tralee.

CRUMLIN HOSPITAL

Aghadoe Heights Hotel is hosting a coffee morning in aid of Our Ladies Hospital on Tuesday 8th Nov. from 11am to 1pm. Maybe you will come along and support this worthy cause.

Collectuio­n in Firies and Ballyhar on 5th/6th November for Daly Sisters missions in Kenya.

CONGRATULA­TIONS

Congrats to Eoghan McKenna and Jack Nagle, Pupils at Killorglin Community College who represente­d Ireland at an invention event in Rome. The boys developed the Dreamy Baby Prop which allows parents to raise their baby to help them gain relief fom reflux, head colds etc. Well Done.

BALLYHAR DYNAMOS FC

On Saturday last our u14s travelled to Dingle and came away with a 6-0 victory.Two goals from Eoghan Greaney & one each from John Power ,Peter Cosgrove ,Cormac Costello & Brian Burke contribute­d to this victory.Darren Daniel ,Jordan Hood & Jack Fitzgerald also played well. Our 16s travelled to Ballyheigu­e and came away with a 4-1 victory with Dylan o Callaghan & Jason Brennan scoring two each.Max Walsh ,Cian Ring & Liam Moloney played well with Harry Doody receiving the Player of the match award.

On Sunday our seniors made the trip to Asdee Rovers who celebrate there 40th anniversar­y as a club this season and came away with a point in a 1-1 draw. Asdee took the lead after 5 minutes from the penalty spot but we got our reward on 70th minute when Niall McCarthy set up Diarmuid o Mahony who side footed to the asdee net. while it was a good team performanc­e Ballyhar were best served by Brian o Sullivan , Adrian Courtney ,Ger Fitzgerald , Dan O’Shea , Padraig O’Connor ,Padraig O’Mahony ,Mike Daly & Kenneth O’Sullivan.
