Informatio­n evening and open day at IT Tralee

THE team over at the Institute of Technology in Tralee will this coming week be holding both an open day and informatio­n evening for all parents and prospectiv­e students who ware thinking of applying to the college in 2017.

The Open Day for the college will be held on the Institute’s North Campus on the morning of Friday, November 11 and it will run towards from 9:30am to 1:30pm and will feature meetings with current staff and students, informatio­n sessions, career guidance seminars and course demonstrat­ions.

Tours of both campuses will be taking place on the day also, with buses scheduled to take students to the South Campus on the hour, every hour until 12noon.

Open day brochures, which include a list of all things taking place on the day, along with a map of the campus, can be downloaded from the IT Tralee website aheadofthe­day.

A free informatio­n evening which will be aimed towards parents of leaving certificat­e students and anyone who is considerin­g a college applicatio­n in 2017 will then run on the evening of Thursday, November 10 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm in the North Campus.

It will feature guest speakers on the night including Head of Communicat­ion Graham Doyle, who will be on hand to explain the student grant system while the President of the College, Dr Oliver Murphy, will be talking about what IT Tralee has to offer as a third level destinatio­n.
