U-13 CUP

TWO goals from Sean O’Connor and one from Messiah Chirwah has put St Brendan’s Park one win away from the last 32 open draw in the Skecher’s U-13 National Cup after a 3-1 win over Killorglin, for which Adam Owens scored.

Mastergeeha made the trip to Clare to take on Avenue United and were well in the game into the second half. However, the home side got the vital goal to see Avenue through.

Killarney Athletic also went out a Clare side as they were beaten by Moneypoint 4-1. Hugh O’Maghley got the Athletic goal.

U-15 CUP

THERE was always going to be at least one Kerry side into the Last 32 and the Regional Competition of the U-15 National Cup. It was Killarney Celtic that progressed thanks to a 3-0 win away to Ballyhar. Cian O’Leary, Jack O’Connor and Joe Rudden got the Celtic goals.

Tralee Dynamos bow out despite scoring four goals

TRALEE Dynamos put in a great effort in their game against Nenagh and scored four goals with Leo Gaxha (2) and Sean Kennedy and Derek O’Shea getting one each. However Nenagh were lethal up front and hit six. This means that Killarney Celtic are away to Nenagh in the quarter-final of the new National Cup Regional competition.

Listowel Celtic FC were very unlucky to go down 1-0 to Limerick FC. The North Kerry side were denied by some last ditch tackling and also hit the post.

Killorglin suffered the same fate as they lost away to Charleville where they did everything but put the ball in the net to equalise.
