Moynihan double fires Rathmore into final

A good game of football, played in Fitzgerald Stadium, Spa shaded it in the middle area of the field, but Rathmore proved the stronger overall. The Rathmore defence was stronger and their attacks more effective, particular­ly in the second half, two goals proving the difference between the sides in the end.

There was little between the sides at the break, with the Rathbeg side two points ahead. A second Rathmore goal on the 39th minute, gave the Rathbeg side a cushion they did not relinquish and Rathmore ran out winners with a six point margin.

Johnny Brosnan, Vice Chairman of the East Kerry Committee, presented the Man of the Match Award, of a year’s membership of the Aquila Club Gleneagle Hotel, to Rathmore’s Mark Reen.
