CROSS COUNTRY

Well done to Patrick O’ Shea of Iveragh A.C. on his selection to compete for Ireland in the annual British & Irish Int. cross country championsh­ips. Just back after a serious injury, Patrick acquitted himself well in Glasgow in a testing course over 8K getting a silver medal as part of the team that also got gold in the individual event. As his training pal Mike Bowler has recently retired from racing after 42 years competing, Patrick can now be considered “last man standing”.

SOUTH KERRY TALENT SHOW

Skellig Rangers GAA club will host the first ever South Kerry Talent Show in The Ring of Kerry Hotel on Friday November 25th @ 8.30pm. 16 acts from S.K. GAA Clubs will participat­e in the hope of winning a €1,000 for their GAA club. 3 secret celebrity judges will choose the overall winner and give feedback as the show progresses. Drama groups, singers, dancers and many other talented performers will compete in what will be a thrilling evening of entertainm­ent. Local comedian Bernard Casey will keep the audience laughing during the interval break. Admission €10.
