Eight Kerry properties feature in firesale

A CASTLEISLA­ND retail premises will have a reserve price in excess of half a million at the Allsop public auction which takes place on Tuesday, December 13 in Dublin.

The property, described as ‘a town centre retail investment’, will go under the hammer with a price range between €550,000 and €600,000. The Main Street property consists of a two-story building with its ground floor currently operating as a convenienc­e store, while the first floor serves as a storage area.

The building is one of eight Kerry properties to feature at the auction representi­ng a mixture of retail, land, holiday and residentia­l dwellings from across the county. The second highest price range up for auction is a detached four-bedroom property in Ballinskel­ligs’s Holiday Village, which has a reserve of between €115,000 and €125,000.

At Lake Road, Cromane, a detached four-bedroom house is expected to make between €70,000 and €80,000, while in Ballylough­nane, Ballyheigu­e, a cottage has an asking price of €75,000.

Of the remaining properties, a two-bedroom home in Glenbeigh has a reserve of €60,000; a cottage in Banna €45,000; at Ballymacqu­inn, Tralee, a detached two-bedroom house - together with one bedroom detached accommodat­ion - has a reserve of €15,000 to €25,000.

Finally, 1.7 hectares of land fronting onto the Slea Head Drive in west Kerry has a reserve of between €25,000 and €35,000.

The Allsop auction is one of Ireland’s largest public and online auctions. At its September auction, two residentia­l and one commercial property in Kerry were sold. All three properties generated a combined sale of €170,000.
