Garvey’s SuperValu… proud to be a part of life in Dingle

-

TO say that a supermarket is at ‘the heart of the community’ is a much used cliché in business parlance. But in the case of Garvey’s SuperValu, Dingle, such a saying ticks all the right boxes. Garvey’s SuperValu is currently looking forward to another busy Christmas offering value, excellent service, quality and accessibility - all of which is combined with a local, friendly atmosphere that is a focal point for people from all over town and beyond. Garvey’s SuperValu in Dingle is a store that prides itself on its involvement in the community where it continues to assist in the creation of employment and the sponsorship of many local sporting events and charities.

2016 has been a great year for the store where they followed on from winning the ‘National Off licence of the Year Award 2015’ with ‘Best Store of the Year 2016’. Moreover, they also picked up a prestigious European award for ‘Supermarket of the Year’ - something which Manager, Kevin O’Connor, puts down to the staff who help ensure the store’s reputation stays one step ahead of the rest.

“We’re an important part of the community but this is something that doesn’t just happen overnight; it has been build up over many years. The community support us throughout the year and we like to give back whenever we can through sponsorship,” said Kevin.

“Christmas is fast approaching and we’re prepared in store to make the build-up as convenient as possible for customers. We have our half price turkey promotion running at the moment and we will also have our weekly offers. I would also just like to wish our customers a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year,” concluded Kevin.
