ROWING NEWS

The Irish Provisional Rowing Championships were held in UL on 26/11/2016. Sive Rowing Cub were represented by Mary Fogarty, Vets over 40 and Kathleen McCarthy in the Masters Event.

Mary put in a storming performance to win gold in the 2,000 metres event in a time of 7 mins. 36 seconds, a new Irish record. What an achievement.

Kathleen also put in a mighty effort to take Bronze in the 2,000 metres event in a very tight finish in a time of 8 min 37 seconds. Well done ladies.
