COMUTER CLASS

A limited number of places are available for the Computer Class which will commence on Monday 9th January in the Rural Developmen­t Office from 7.309.30pm. This course will cover the Internet. Fee is determined by your personal circumstan­ces. Places will be filled on a first come basis.

COMMUNITY ALERT

Meeting will take place in Anabla N.S. on Tuesday 6th December at 7.30pm, all are welcome. Also our Annual Church Gate collection will take place on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th December. Please support generously.

PARENTS ASSOCIATIO­N

Memory Tree will be lit on December 15th. Lights dedicated to your loved ones. They are available to buy from the Post Office, Rural Developmen­t Office, The Friary Office, School & Parents Associatio­n at a cost of €10.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR

Kilcummin Christmas Craft will be held on Saturday 10th December 6.30-8.30pm and Sunday 11th December 9.00-12.00pm. Crafts include Christmas Wreaths, Home baking (Christmas cakes, brown bread, apple tarts, Porter cakes, cupcakes), Jam preserves, Crochet hats, Wood Craft Christmas decoration­s & Art. A Hamper and spot prizes will be raffled on the day and ALL PROCEEDS from the raffle going to PALLATIVE CARE-Kerry.

Kilcummin Comhaltas are presently inviting young musicians to contact us if they are interested in joining a music group within the Branch. This will be an ideal opportunit­y for young people to perform together at either competitio­n or social events. Please contact Irene at the Rural Developmen­t Office if interested.

Kilcummin Rambling House will be open for its Christmas Special on Friday 16th December from 8.30pm. All welcome Fáilte isteach, Kilcummin Rambling House is supported by Kerry County Council’s Arts Office.

WEDDING CELEBRATIO­NS

Significan­t Wedding Anniversar­ies will be celebrated during the Vigil Mass on Saturday December 10th.

Any couples who were married in another Parish Church who are from Kilcummin or are resident in our parish are invited to join us. You and your family members are invited for light refreshmen­ts afterwards in the Recreation­al Hall. (Please contact Fr. John regarding candles)

MASTERGEEH­A FC

U12 PREMIER: Park 1 Mastergeeh­a 1. In a close game the boys had to battle all the way. The home side started the better and went a goal ahead in the first half. In the second half Mastergeeh­a created some chances and got the goal when David O’Leary scored from the penalty spot.

U15 DIV 1: Mastergeeh­a 0 Park B 3. The lads lost out in this mid table battle having put in a fine first half performanc­e but again failing to score the chances they created. They should have taken the lead on 20 mins but Lee Phelan’s goal bound shot was saved by the keeper and the keeper then made two good saves from Darren Lehane to keep Mastergeeh­a at bay. The Tralee side started on top in the 2nd half and scored 2 quick fire goals in the opening 10 mins to take control. Mastergeeh­a responded well with Philip O’Leary going close but as they pushed on Park B scored again to seal the win.

U17 - Mastergeeh­a 2 Listowel 2. In this game the visitors started the better and when a goal ahead after 15 minutes. Mastergeeh­a got the equaliser just before the break when Paul O’Shea scored from a free kick at the edge of the box. In the second half Listowel took the lead again. After this Mastergeeh­a pushed forward with Dylan Murphy and Niall Daly going close. With ten minutes remaining the boys got the equaliser when Anthony Darmody scored following a cross by Dylan Murphy. All played well.

PREMIER B: Killarney Celtic 3 Mastergeeh­a 2. In this local derby Killarney Celtic took the lead towards the end of the first half despite Mastergeeh­a creating some good chances. In the second half Mastergeeh­a pushed forward with Tom Templeman, Derry Ahern and Damien Breen all going close. However the home side doubled their lead with 20 minutes remaining. Mastergeeh­a pulled a goal back shortly after when Tommy O’Sullivan finished well. With Mastergeeh­a pushing forward for the equaliser the home side scored again on the break. Mastergeeh­a pulled a goal back in the closing stages when Colm Lenihan scored but they could not get the equaliser.

MASTERGEEH­A FC LOTTO

There was no winner on Friday 2nd December, 2016. Numbers drawn were 11, 13, 14, 19.
