NOVEMBER MASS

The annual November Mass for all those who died during the past year took place on Friday night 25th November at 7:30pm in St. Patrick Church Kilgarvan.

A candle was taken to the altar for the following people: Michael Lehane, PJ O’ Sullivan, Denis Fennessy, Jerh Jim Kelleher,Tim Twomey, Murt O’ Shea, Mary O’ Sullivan, Denis Healy, Patrick (Patsy) McCarthy, Mary Agnes Twomey, Padraig Dineen, Sarah Duggan, John Healy (Attie),Hannah Healy, Johnny McCarthy, Joan O’ Sullivan, Doris O’ Connor, Tim O’ Reilly, Mary O’ Sullivan, Maura Gleeson, Martin Beckett, Breda Lynch, Roisín Mary Moran, Joan Cronin, Paddy Joe Murphy, Fr. Denis Leahy,Michael Galvin, Jerry Buckley and Fr. Laurence Kelly. May they Rest in Peace.

KENMARE DISTRICT

Congratula­tions to the Kenmare Football Team, Patrick O’Shea and John Mark Foley, who won the Munster Football Championsh­ip last Sunday 27th November 2016 in Mallow. They will play Westport Co. Mayo in the All Ireland Semi Final early on Sunday 27th January 2017.

STRAY CATS

There is a Cat crisis in Kilgarvan village with between 15 and 20 cats at the back of Healy Rae Park. KLAWS are looking for volunteers to help deal with the feral colony that need trapping and neutering, some also need veterinary attention.

KLAWS has the trap and food already there but are looking for local Kilgarvan people to help monitor the traps and assist with transporti­ng to the vets for neutering. If you can help or would like more informatio­n please call 087 970 4480. Thank you.

BINGO

Bingo at 8:00pm in Pobal Scoil Inbhear Sceine, Kenmare, will have a Christmas Hamper each night over the next three Thursday’s December 8th, 15th and 22nd as part of the raffle prizes. All welcome.

ROCKMOUNT

Every Tuesday at Rockmount is reserved especially for the active retired. Dinner is at 1:00pm and there is entertainm­ent afterwards - bingo etc. If you would like further informatio­n please phone 064 66 85952.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR

A Christmas craft fair will be held at Kenmare Adult Education Centre on Saturday 10th December 12 - 4pm. Please ring 064 664 1157 or email info@kenmareaec. ie to book a table. It costs €10 per table and proceeds go to St. Vincent de Paul.
