Food lovers invited to KCFE Christmas Cooking Demo in aid of St. Vincent De Paul

THE public are invited to this Thursday evening’s Christmas Cookery Demonstrat­ion and Tasting Evening at Kerry College of Further Education, Tralee and are promised a thoroughly enjoyable evening with tips and tricks from host KCFE Chef Teacher Kay Lanigan Ryan.

“Christmas themed cookery evenings are always a nice way to get into the spirit of the festive season making for a fun night out with family and friends. With a wealth of experience in high profile hotels both in Ireland and Australia, and having recently graduated with a Masters in Culinary Arts Management, Kay runs the Profession­al Cookery programme at the college and promises to share on the night her expertise for perfecting the annual Christmas delights” Mary Murphy, Assistant Principal at KCFE told the Kerryman this week.

Learn how to make memories for kids as Kay will give some interestin­g ideas on how to involve kids in the kitchen fun. Edible gifts and alternativ­es to the traditiona­l food items will be just part of the focus as Kay will demonstrat­e ice cream based Christmas pudding, Christmas logs, truffles, chocolate biscuits, savory canopies and much more.

Tickets for this St. Vincent De Paul fundraiser event which is being held on Thursday 8th December commencing at 6.30pm are priced at €10 and are selling fast. They can be booked by calling the college office on 066 7121741.
