Christmas romance is in the air Brehon Wedding Consultation Days
KELLY ANN O’Connor, the wedding coordinator at The Brehon will host two wedding consultation days at the hotel over the Christmas holidays, on New Year’s Day and again on January 2. And as Christmas is a popular time for marriage proposals, Kelly Ann has offered this advice for couples on the brink of this major step.
“If ever there is a time to be truly sentimental, well this is it,” says Kelly Ann. “Your engagement will be one of those stand out moments, and while it should not be about trying to create the perfect proposal it should be about creating a wonderful memory unique to you.
Kelly Ann recommends choosing a special location for your proposal, either one that already holds sentimental value or somewhere you both love to visit, “We are spoilt in Ireland for wonderfully romantic spots, so pick a good one as you will revisit it again and again.”
Kelly Ann also warns that not everyone is up for a public display. “If your opting for an elaborate public proposal be sure to think about how your partner might react, not everyone loves to be the centre of attention and if in doubt then certainly leave it out.”
She advises that you choose your words carefully, “Make your words meaningful and speak from the heart, it is what you will say that will really make this moment special.”
Make sure to document the day and don’t forget to take a photo, “however, I always recommend that its best to inform your families and close friends before you post your engagement photo to social media.”
“And if you get engaged over Christmas my final piece of advice is, it is never too early to start planning. In fact, at The Brehon we are already receiving bookings for 2019 and 2020.”
