MH Designs
Quality from concept to creation
THE saying ‘a change is as good as a rest’ is nowhere more apparent than in the field of interior design and whether it’s commercial or residential, makeovers matter. MH Designs is a port of call you should be familiar with if interior design is uppermost in your thoughts for 2017.
Refurbishment consultant and interior designer, Maura Hunter, is the lady behind the name and she will be familiar to viewers of RTE’s ‘At Your Service’ where together with brothers, John and Francis Brennan, Maura puts her skills to work. One such example is Maura’s role in the stunningly designed Treacy’s West County Hotel, and Maura is all set to be the new residential interior designer for the 2017 series of ‘At Your Service’.
Maura has over 27 years’ experience in creating dream interiors for commercial and residential settings during which time her commitment to providing quality service - from concept to creation - has never diminished. Comfortable and affordable interiors that reflect clients’ needs and lifestyles is the cornerstone of MH Designs which, in essence, means your personal project becomes their priority. And if 2017 is the year you finally decide on doing some home and workplace refurbishments, a visit to MH Designs’s website reveals an array of magical creations and concepts that can apply to your precious space. Maura explains some more:
“We do a lot of contract work and also residential properties. We can do turn-key operations for properties that are about to be let. We carry out extensive residential work which is very popular, and we cover everything from curtains, design, layout and wall murals, to name just a few. Residential work can be very specific as you’re working with the aspirations of the owners and we help them to achieve the sort of interior design concepts that are both decorative and unique. As well as doing complete makeovers, if a client comes to us with a new house, it’s like working with a new canvas.”
MH Designs recently played its part in embellishing the 1916 commemorations when completing a stunning wall mural of the first Dáil in the Mansion House in Dublin. Maura explains how this is now a popular aspect of interior design as personal and sentimental prints can be transformed into bespoke wallpaper adding a unique feature to homes, businesses and sports clubs.
“Yes, the wall scenes are becoming extremely popular and I have sold several to America from interested clients online. We can transfer any print onto wallpaper and they are made from high quality, resistant materials that can withstand the everyday rigours of a commercial or residential property. It’s a very imaginative concept and one that allows people to transfer sentimental photos onto a wall. It’s equally a good idea for companies and sports clubs wishing to mark a milestone event. It’s different and people love it,” added Maura.
