Stepping up to the plate for 305
THE talented crew at Celtic Steps are getting ready to participate in a charity concert, to do their bit to help children and young people with special needs embark on a trip Lourdes.
Every year on Easter Sunday, some 500 people make the trip to Lourdes, where they always have a fantastic experience. The highlights of the week include the Irish and International masses, a visit to the grotto, and a day trip to the beach or Gavarnie, where guests can enjoy a trip on a cable car. They can also delve into the social aspect of going to a coffee, and treating themelves to a coffee, tea, or an ice-cream.
But fundraising for the trip is always a challenge; each group must raise €14,500 to participate in the trip of a lifetime, which also represents a form of respite for carers and parents.
And that’s why Group 305 is hosting a charity concert, and they promise a great night’s entertainment as Celtic Steps hit the stage and thrill the masses.
Celtic Steps brings together Ireland’s top traditional musicians, dancers, and singers.
The event is penned in for Killarney Racecourse on Friday March 10, with doors opening at 7.30pm for the 8.30pm concert.
Adult tickets are priced at €20, with a child’s ticket set at €10, and a family ticket is €50.
