HR guru McEnery launches new book
KERRY HR expert Caroline McEnery has launched her new book at a reception attended by a veritable who’s who of the regions business community.
Over 200 people attended the launch of McEnery’s book ‘The Art of Asking the Right Questions - A People Manager’s Toolkit’ at The Pavilion at Ballygarry Hotel last Thursday evening.
The Causeway natives’ book is billed as the ‘must have’ handbook for all people managers and employers across both the public and private sectors.
It is also a useful introductory reference to best HR Best Practice, Approach and Processes for management and business students.
“A lot of the HR, mentoring and training tips I give to business owners and managers hinges on ensuring you ask the right questions at the right time and then listen, silently and carefully, so you can identify how best to progress pro-actively to the next steps,” said Caroline.
“This book is a valuable resource for all people managers (whether you manage one person, a department team, or many thousands), and should be on your desk as a ‘go to guide’ that you can dip into as needed to remind you of the key questions that should be asked in different situations throughout the employment journey,” she said.
Caroline McEnery is Managing Director of The HR Suite. She has over 20 years experience in the HR industry having worked for Kerry Group and as Operations and HR Director of Garvey Group, before establishing the HR Suite in 2009.
She is also a lead mentor on the ACORNS entrepreneur development programme, a member of the Low Pay Commission and an adjudicator in the Workplace Relations Commission.
