Spa do it again at Scór na nÓg finals in Belfast

SPA GAA Club had contrasting fortunes at the All Ireland Scór na nÓg finals at the Waterfront Theatre in Belfast on Saturday last.

Dancing the “Lough Isle” they gave an unerring performance to collect their fourth national title. In fact Spa were the only Munster Club to bring honours to the province. Padraig Duffy, Árd Stiúrthóir of the GAA presented the All Ireland Medals to the winning team of Kianan O’Doherty, Liam Spillane, Gary O’Sullivan, Cian O’Sullivan, Erin Holland, Meghann Cronin, Áine Brosnan and Orlaith Spillane.

There was no joy however for the Spa Quiz team of Louise Fleming, Daniel O’Sullivan, James Lynch and Kianan O’Doherty who were going for a third title in a row for the club.

They finished an agonising two points behind winners Donegal after a tremendous battle.

Scór Sinsear County Finals

THE Estuary, Print and Trophies, Ballylongford sponsored County Finals of Scór Sinsear will be held in Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal, Presentation Primary Castleisland on this Saturday February 18 commencing at 8pm where the District Boards from around the County will be striving to put their Clubs through to the Munster Finals to be held in Cappamore, County Limerick on Saturday April 8.

This will be preceded by the Question Time with a starting time of 6pm sharp.
