MASTERGEEHA are the first side through to the next round of the Cup.

Two goals each from Hugh Lenihan, James Williams and Sean Doolin and one each from David O’Leary, Oisin Kelly and Jack Donoghue saw them into the hat for the next round. Jack Slattery got the Park C consolation.

JOHN JOE NAUGHTON UNDER 13 CUP

KILLORGLIN A, Ballyhar and Dingle Bay Rovers are into Round 2. Killorglin were 5-1 winners over LB Rovers.

Killorglin had goals from Eoghan Hassett, Jack O’Sullivan, Ryan Diggin, Adam Owens and Tom Whittleton in their 5-1 win over LB Rovers for whom Padraig O’Connor scored.

A Stephen Palmer hat-trick and a goal from Colin Callaghan saw Ballyhar win at Murt Scott Park to go into the hat for Round 2. They defeated Killorglin C whose Stevie Gannon scored their only goal.

Dingle Bay Rovers were pushed all the way by an ever improving MEK. The sides shared seven goals with the West Kerry player just coming out on top. James Hoare scored twice with the other Dingle Bay goals coming from Cormac Ó Cinneidé and Antoine Ó Sé. Eddie Moroney hit a hat-trick, his second in two games, saw the Mid Kerry team coming back from 4-0 down to 4-3, but they just ran out of time to find the equaliser.

The Ballyheigue v Castleisland game was abandoned just before half time when the Ballyheigue keeper, Charlie Fitzgerald, suffered a suspected collar bone injury and we all wish him well. The game was scoreless at the time.
