DEATHS

James O’Sullivan, Long Island, New York and formerly Killowen, Kenmare, Co. Kerry passed away on January 15th 2017. James is a brother of Agnes Purcell, Railway Road, Kilgarvan. To John’s wife Lorraine and family, his sister Agnes Purcell and extended family we express our deepest Sympathy.

Maureen O’Sullivan, Cullina, Beaufort, Co. Kerry, mother of Sheila O’Reilly, Killowen, Kenmare passed away on February 15th 2017. Her Requiem Mass took place at St. Mary’s Church, Beaufort on Saturday 11th February at 11.00am with burial afterwards in Churchtown Cemetery, Beaufort. To her children Sheila, D.D., Timmy-John & Daniel, daughter-in-law Eileen, son-in-law Timmy and extended family we express our deepest Sympathy.

COFFEE MORNING

Kilgarvan Central School Parents Associatio­n is holding a Coffee Morning on Friday 17th February 2017 from 9.30am - 12.30pm. This is the main Fundraisin­g event of the year for the Parents Associatio­n and the money goes towards equipment and all the extra activities for the school children.

CARD DRIVE

A Card drive will be held in Glenflesk Club house on Sunday 19th February at 7:00pm supporting Maureen Kelliher, Glenflesk in her struggle against degenerati­ve MS. Maureen has many friends and relatives in Kilgarvan. Her mother is Mai O’Leary, Templenoe formerly O’Sullivan Patsy Rosseightr­agh, Kilgarvan.

BRAINS OF KERRY

The Brains of Kerry Table Quiz is in aid of helping Anthony Morris fight Lyme disease. Semi Finals will take place on 23rd February 2017 at 9:00pm at 7 venues. The venue nearest is Brooklane, Kenmare. €40 for tables of 4. No mobile phones allowed.

There will be a guest MC at each location. The top 3 teams qualify for the grand final on the 2nd March 2017 in the Avenue Hotel, Killarney.
