SK LEAGUE GROUP B St Michaels/Foilmore 2-3 Renard 2-10

THE home side St Michaels Foilmore were first off the mark with a point from play for Damien Kelly.

Renard then took command and added two points from play, one from Eoin O’Neill and one from Conor O’Leary. Conor O’Leary then finished the ball to the St Michaels Foilmore net to put Renard 1-2 to 0-1 ahead after eight minutes of play.

Eoghan McCrohan added a further point from play for the visitors. Darren O’Sullivan registered what was to be the home side’s last score of the half with a pointed free ten minutes in.

Renard drove on and added six further points, two from Conor O’Leary, and one each from Eoin McCrohan, Darragh Fitzgerald, Eoin McDaid and Mark Sugrue to leave the half time score Renard 1-9 St Michaels Foilmore 0-2.

The second half saw Mark Sugrue add a further point for Renard with a pointed free. Thirteen minutes lapsed without a score before Luke O’Shea finished the ball to the Renard net.

Renard responded as substitute Sean O’Connor found the St Michaels Foilmore net. St Michaels Foilmore added two consolatio­n scores, a point from Damien Kelly and a goal from John Griffin to leave the full time score Renard 2-10 St Michaels Foilmore 2-3. Support is greatly appreciate­d as it is getting more expensive to prepare our Minor, U-21 and Senior Teams for respective County Championsh­ips.

SENIOR Scór County Finals are taking place in Scoil Muire gan Smal Castleisla­nd on February 18 at 6pm with Question Time and all other events at 8pm.

Scór na bPaistí is taking place in Foilmore Community Centre on March 3 at 7.30. All entries to Suzanne Ní Laoighre by February 19 all children’s registrati­on numbers must accompany entries.
