Killorglin began stronger in the second half with Garny Garcia scoring a basket, with good defence by Keanes Elks turned over the ball leading to a score from Seamus Brosnan, followed closely with scores from Ian McLoughlin, and Andrew Fitzgerald. With 3.53 on the clock Keanes were trailing by 14, 64 to 50. Cian O’Shea responded following a Killorglin time out with a three but with UU Elks also replied with a three, the quarter finished UU Elks ahead 71 to KSV 55.

Darragh Jones was first to make it into the score sheet in the final quarter and with Garny Garcia adding before UU Elks were successful it was Elks who called the first time out as Killorglin were making a comeback reducing their deficit. Following the time out Darragh Jones again added followed by Ian McLoughlin intercepting and adding two scores.

Killorglin were testing UU Elks and outscored them in the final quarter by 4 points but they couldn’t reduce UU Elks lead to single figures and the game finished 84 to 73. A great game with many players missing and injured including Ignus and Declan Wall, a performance worth being proud of.
