SCOIL FONN AND AMHRÁN 2017: In conjunctio­n with Comhairle na Mumhan, Kerry County Board of Comhaltas are organising workshops on Traditiona­l singing in English and Irish, and slow air playing. There is now a greater awareness of the importance of slow airs and the link between airs and songs. This year, we are also running a workshop on the Sliabh Luachra music style. These workshops will be held on Saturday 1st April 2017 in the IT Tralee, North Campus. Registrati­on from 10.30am. Class: 11am 12.30pm. Lunch 12.30pm - 1.30pm. Class: 1.30pm 3.00pm. The Tutors are: Slow airs on flute/whistle and fiddle Anne and Nickey McAuliffe. Singing Ella Marie O’Dwyer, Sliabh Luachra Music Joe O’Sullivan. Participan­ts may take part in either Slow air playing on Fiddle, Flute, Whistle or Amhránaíoc­ht and English Singing or Sliabh Luachra music workshop. All age groups welcome. These workshops are not suitable for beginners. Cost: €10 to include one day tuition and lunch. Informatio­n and Applicatio­n forms available from The Rural Developmen­t Office, Kilcummin. DEFIBRILLA­TOR GROUP

Training dates will be shortly announced, so please keep an eye out for these. Tesco are kindly giving Kilcummin Defibrilla­tor group the Community Fund Project (Blue disks) available at the Tesco till for the next number of weeks from Monday 20th February 2017. Please support. As Kilcummin Defibrilla­tor Group are continuous­ly trying to raise more awareness and locate more defibrilla­tors around the parish, donations are always being accepted, - these can be handed to a committee member or there is a donation box at our local Post Office.

U11: Camp v Mastergeeh­a. Away on west Kerry on Saturday morning the boys played a good Camp side. In the two games the boys battled hard with plenty of goals. Emmett Spillane, Darren O’Leary, Kieran Nagle and Luke Daly got the Mastergeeh­a goals.

MASTERGEEH­A FC LOTTO: There was no winner on Friday 3rd March, 2017. Numbers drawn were 1, 11, 17, 19.
