How Tralee’s young want to see their town grow

-

TRALEE’S future workforce, decision-makers and employers will join Tralee Chamber Alliance during Enterprise Month to outline their big ideas for the county capital.

Throughout Kerry Enterprise Month (details below), Transition Year students from schools in Tralee will come up with and set out their ideas and opinions on how Tralee shoud be developed in the future, what should take place in their town and what kind of business or activities they would like to see in Tralee.

“It only takes one good idea to create a success story and we are confident that the future success of Tralee lies in the safe hands of today’s youth. We want the Transition Years students to show us their entrepreneurial skills and to tell us about their ideas on what they would like to do with their town now and into the future,” said Tralee Chamber President John Drummey.

“Tralee Chamber Alliance continually strives to lead growth and foster pride, and collaborations such as this with the TY students will certainly help us all achieve that goal,” Mr Drummey said.

The Transition Year students will present their ‘big ideas’ to a panel of judges, consisting of business owners from Tralee and members of Tralee Chamber Alliance at IT Tralee’s North Campus on Monday March 20..

Now in its fourth year, ‘Enterprise Month’ continues to shine a spotlight on just some of the enterprise activities on offer all year round across the County of Kerry.

The final two weeks of the month will be hosted by IT Tralee and the month ends with the annual Cantillon Conference, –this year centred on ‘Building Borderless Business’ – which will focuses on fintech and cyber security.

Tickets for the conference, and further details on the event, are available now at www. cantillon.ie.
