PARADE

Well done to the organisers of, spectators at and participants in Waterville’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Friday last in far from ideal conditions. Congratulations to the Winners of Best Float, The Waterville Inn, whose float featured Donald Trump, his wife, the secret service, ‘The Wall’ and some Mexicans. The winners of Best Walking Group were Waterville Early Years Centre who were staging Waterville’s bid for the Rugby World Cup.

ILLEGAL DUMPING

Waterville Tidy Towns Committee are outraged with the dumping of 24 black bags of domestic rubbish in our area over the last 5 weeks. 8 bags at Community Centre, 10 at Top Cross Car Park, 2 at G.A.A. road and 4 at Klondyke road. Evidence has been collected and hopefully prosecution will follow.

Our thanks to the Department of the Environment, Kerry County Council Tralee and our local County Council office in Cahirciveen in helping us to stamp out this illegal dumping.

We now ask all our residents to report to our committee any dumping of rubbish in the area so that we can take the appropriate action immediately. Our aim is to keep Waterville litter free all year round and we ask these irresponsible people to stop littering our village.
