JOHN MURPHY UNDER 12 CUP

THIS clash of The Park and Killarney Celtic was always going to be a tight affair and in the end there was only one goal in the game. The vital score came from The Park’s Cain O’Gara to put them into the next round.

JOHN JOE NAUGHTON U-13 CUP

THE clash of the two Listowel Celtic teams went the way of the A’s who defeated the B’s 2-0. Christopher McQuaid was the difference between the sides getting both goals.

Alex Hennigan certainly brought his shooting boots to Killarney Athletic’s game against Dingle Bay Rovers as he ended the game with four goals. There were added to by scores from Sam Benson, Hugh O’Malley and Cillian Courtney.

Goals from Shane Evans, Killian Spillane, Darragh McCarthy and Killian Falvey saw Killorglin A progress to the next round of the Under 13 Cup as they overcame Inter Kenmare.

There was a five-goal thriller in Ballyheigue with the home side just getting the better of Ballyhar on a 3-2 score line. Feilim O’Sullivan with two and Eric Walsh with the other put Ballyheigue into the next round. Stephen O’Callaghan and Colin Callaghan replied for Ballyhar.

HEALY FAMILY U-15 CUP

KILLARNEY Athletic were a little too strong for the Park B in the Healy Family Cup game played in Woodlawn. Jack Cooper hit a hat trick with Robert O’Shea and Owen Benson getting one each in a 5-1 win.

Two goals in quick succession midway through the first half from Ballyhar’s Dylan Callaghan and Patrick O’Connor put the home side in control at Murt Scott Park. Philip O’Connor volleyed home just before the break to get Mastergeeha back into the game.

Mastergeeha needed to keep that momentum going, but credit to Ballyhar as Jason Brennan scored directly after the restart. The visitors did everything to get back into the game but the home side defended well in this cracking game and will be delighted to be in the draw for the next round.

Killorglin were the one side to progress on the road as they enjoyed a 4-2 win away to Castleisland. Stephen O’Loughlin hit two with Ethan Coffey and Jack O’Leary both getting a goal each while Castleisland’s goals came from Connie and Alex O’Connor.

Listowel Celtic are also in the hat following a 3-0 score-line from their game with Inter Kenmare.
