Killarney’s INEC to welcome K-Con

KERRY Comic Con is coming to the INEC in Killarney this coming April 1 and 2 in an event that is sure to attract a huge crowd to the South Kerry venue.

Don’t just watch the action but become a part of it by meeting the actors behind some of the biggest adventure movies from Hollywood. Guests include John Rhys-Davies (Lord of The Rings, Indiana Jones, The Shannara Chronicles) and Capser Van Dien (Starship Troopers, Mortal Kombat Legacy, Tarzan).

Dress up as your favourite characters and learn from profession­al cosplayers such as Nicole Marie Jean. Immerse yourself in the world of your favourite stories by exploring meticulous­ly recreated sets from the world of television and film.

With K-Con’s official educationa­l partner Pulse College, attendees can learn from practicing industry profession­als from the world of animation and game design through interactiv­e workshops and tutorials held throughout the course of the weekend.

Avid collectors can shop to their hearts’ content with a wide selection of stalls selling everything from comics and collectibl­es to custom pieces and commission­ed art work. K-Con will also bring you to the source of comic book creation with a vibrant artist’s alley, featuring the very best of comic creators in Ireland today with special guests Rapha Lobosco and Chris O’Halloran who are currently collaborat­ing as artist and colourist for the new James Bond comic series from Dynamite Comics.

The fun also continues outdoors with awesome re-enactments from Medieval Combat.

After an exciting day, unwind in the evening with table top gaming and share the fun with all of your loved ones at this family friendly event.

Tickets for the event are set to cost €20 for an adult ticket for Saturday and again €20 for a Sunday ticket’; children are set to cost €8 for Saturday and Sunday respective­ly. All tickets are available through the INEC website or the Kerry Comic Con website itself; make sure that you don’t miss out on this fantastic and very unique event that is sure to draw a big crowd.
