A BIG THANK YOU

To everyone involved or who assisted in any way in our recent Messier Marathon weekend. There were many visitors to the Planetarium, which was temporarily located in the halla Pobal on the Friday and Saturday. Several schools visited on Friday and the children demonstrated great interest in all topics astronomical. People also took advantage of beautiful clear night skies and visited our viewing site at Ballinskelligs beach. We thank also all of the guest speakers especially those who travelled long distances to be here.

A TALK IN CAHERSIVEEN

Dr Anne Frances will be giving a talk “Darkness into Light, Healing on the Journey” on Thursday 30th March at 8pm in the Nuns Chapel in Daniel O’Connell Church Cahersiveen. All are welcome.

HERITAGE CENTRE

Coiste Forbartha na Sceilge plan to create a Heritage Centre in the Barracks in Dungeagan. We therefore invite the public to donate any manuscripts, documents photographs or any other relevant artifacts to enable us to develop the Heritage Centre. Where possible items will be copied and originals returned to owner.

Items can be dropped into the Community Centre Dungeagan. Phone 066 9479111.
