HOGAN CUP FINAL: Best of luck to St. Brendan’s of Killarney, particular­ly to the Firies GAA boys; Ciaran Flynn , Niall Donohue, Donnchadh O’Sullivan, Evan Cosgrave, Jake Flynn, Diarmuid Brosnan and Cian Callaghan who are apart of St. Brendan’s panel playing in the Hogan Cup Final on Saturday, 1st April. O’Meara Coaches of Ballyhar have organised a coach to the final on Saturday in Croke Park at 4pm. The coach is due to depart Lidl, Killarney at 9:00am and Farranfore at 9:15am approximat­ely. U12 & U14 TRAINING: U12 training continues on Thursdays, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and U14 training from 6:00pm to 7:00pm also on Thursdays in Pairc Eamonn, Farranfore. Saturday Morning Training Academy -- U6, U8&U10 U8s and U10s boys are scheduled to recommence their training on Saturday, 8th April. It is envisaged to recommence the U6s training toward mid-late April. If you haven’t organised your club registrati­on, please email firiescois­tenanogpro@gmail.com and we will forward the relevant registrati­on form. Hurling for all age groups has recommence­d on Thursdays in Pairc Eamonn, Farranfore from 7pm to 8pm. These sessions are available to both boys and girls from U8 upwards and new members are always welcome. This was a game that Firies struggled to make an impact on and were chasing the game throughout. Lispole got a couple of goals early on but Firies got back into it with a fine goal by Con O’Mahony and a penalty by Conal Murphy just before the break had Firies trailing by 2-2 to Lispole’s 2-6 The second half was a much closer affair with scores being exchanged and Lispole running out winners by 2- 11 to 2-5. Firies have no game this coming weekend and face Dr Crokes in the County League the following weekend GOOD LUCK: to St Brendan’s College in the Hogan Cup Final on Saturday in Croke Park especially our Firies players Niall Donohue, Donnacadh O’Sulivan, Cian O’Callaghan, Ciaran Flynn, Evan Cosgrave, Diarmuid Brosnan and Jake Flynn also Arthur Fitzgerald who is part of the management team.
