A very busy week for for ladies football this week with some great results. Well done to Rachel Dwyer Ellie O’Connell and Shannon O’Donnell with our Kerry u14 who had a lovely win v Cork on Sat 18th March in Baile Bhuirne 4-8 - 0-11. Hard luck on Sun 19th March to our kerry Senior Ladies who went down to Galway by 2 points score 1-10 -3-06 Then Caroline Kelly Anna Galvin Megan O’Connell Linda Cronin and Elaine O’Sullivan turned this right around a week later delighted with a 2 point win v Armagh with the senior ladies in Duagh on a beautiful sunny Sunday 26th. Caoimhe Teahan played on the minor team who had a big win in Mallow on Friday night 24th Kerry 5-13 to Waterford 1-2 Sat 25th saw Rachel Dwyer Ellie O’Connell and Shannon O’Donnell travel to Clare for a challenge game in preparatio­n for their next outing in two weeks time. Hard luck to Siofra O’Shea and the u16 Kerry team on their first outing Sat afternoon in Mallow going down to Cork losing by one point on a scoreline of 4-11 to 5-9 All to play for next Sat v Tipperary venue to be confirmed. Cork and Tipperary drew last week. Very little between these three teams. Meanwhile at home in Colaiste na Sceilge on Sunday our own Southern Gaels senior team had a lovely win over Duagh on a scoreline of 1.10-1.09. Well done to a brilliant defence and Eva Murphy with a powerful goal. Training continues across all age groups please contact any club member if you want to join or as always help our club in any way . Good luck form all taking part in the Golf Classic next Sat in Dooks hopefully the sunshine will continue, we are most thankful to all the businesses that are supporting us and we are asking all parents to contribute 25.00 Euro if you are not taking part in the Golf classic or sponsoring on the day. Congratula­tions to all our young players who have been doing fantastic at Scor and competing and winning at County level well done to you all and your parents.
