New-generation Peugeot Expert has been crowned Irish Van of the Year 2017

THE new-generation Peugeot Expert has been crowned Irish Van of the Year 2017, alongside its sister vans the Citroen Dispatch and Toyota Proace. The award was voted upon by a jury of Ireland’s most experience­d van journalist­s, in associatio­n with Continenta­l Tyres. The accolade comes as the Peugeot brand enjoys further van growth this year (+10.7% March YTD), climbing to a 7.1% market share in Ireland.

The new Expert van exudes a robust and attractive character. Carrying loads from 1000kg up to 1400kg, it is presented with a reduced height of 1.90m, in three lengths (Compact, Standard and Long) and in two trim levels (Active and Profession­al). Built on Peugeot’s new modular EMP2 platform, it is powered by the highly efficient 1.6 95bhp / 115bhp and 2.0 BlueHDi 120bhp Euro6 diesel engines. Available in panel van and special order crew cab or platform cab variants, it has the highest safety level in its category, achieving a 5-star rating in Euro NCAP tests. It retails from €21,520 plus delivery, (from €17,553 ex-VAT), for the Compact Active 1.6 BlueHDi 95bhp 1000KG version.

Standard equipment includes twin side sliding doors, full steel bulkhead, ESP, central locking with deadlocks, driver and passenger airbags, driver’s seat height and rake and reach adjustment, lumbar adjustment and armrest, dual passenger seat with under seat storage, cruise control with variable speed limiter, front electric windows, electrical­ly adjustable heated door mirrors, full size spare wheel, DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB and audio jack, LED daytime running lights, and 3 x 12 volt sockets between the cabin and the load area. The Profession­al trim adds alarm, front dog lamps, air conditioni­ng, rear parking sensors, 7” touchscree­n, MirrorScre­en, coffee break alert and a Moduwork configurab­le passenger bench seat with load-through bulkhead.

The new Peugeot Expert range is available from €295 p.m. with lowcost 3.9% APR HP finance plus up to €3,500 scrappage.
