Breeda’s story set to inspire
RENOWNED TRALEE BUSINESSWOMAN LAUNCHING BOOK ON HER LIFE STORY
WELL known Tralee businesswoman Breeda Hurley is set to launch her new book ‘Survive and Thrive’ next month.
The fascinating new book tells the tale of how – thanks to grit, determination and a relentlessly positive outlook – Breeda escaped childhood poverty and went on to found one of Kerry’s most successful companies, ABC Cleaning.
It is a brilliantly told tale – full of ups and downs – that takes the reader from Breeda’s earliest days in business and her initial successes right through the struggles of the recent recession to the present day.
Not only is the book an invaluable guide for any aspiring business person it is a riveting read told by an engaging and often very humorous writer.
Breeda’s book – published by ABC Publications – is a 15 year labour of love for Breeda.
Though she started work on it many years ago she was forced to put it to one side for several years as she steered her business through the recession. Last year – after she received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Kerry Connect Women in Business Awards – Breeda decided it was high time she finished the book and now, a year on, its about to hit bookshops.
Breeda – who admits she’s very excited about the book’s imminent launch – says her only aim is to inspire people.
“If I can be an encouragement to one person and help guide them along I’d be very happy with that,” she said.
Survive and Thrive by Breeda Hurley will be launched at Tralee’s Rose Hotel on May 12.
