Councillor Michael Cahill has called on Kerry Co. Council to remove all large rock at Ballinakilla Burial Ground as a matter of extreme urgency as family members are being buried apart which is not acceptable and is causing great distress to bereaved family members an amount of extra work to grave diggers.
The local Councillor also said he did not accept the Council’s response to his motion as the boulders are hidden beneath the surface and need to be removed immediately.

Council remove all large rocks in Ballinakilla Burial Ground as a matter of extreme urgency as they are causing great distress to bereved family members and exrta work to grave diggers as family graves are now being split and loved ones buried apart.
Reply- The Council will remove any large boulders visible on the surface of the burial ground.
HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Congratulations to Dominick Lynch and J.J. Quirke on winning the All-Ireland over 35 years ‘’A’’Doubles Handball title at Kingscourt, Co. Cavan on Saturday. They gave a brillant display in defeating Gavin Buggy and Barry Mc.Williams, Co. Wexford 21-4 21-8 which brings the 40 by 20 season to a successful conclusion.
