GAA LOTTO DRAW

Scartaglin GAA Club’s latest Lotto Draw took place in Lyons Bar on Easter Sunday night. The jackpot was €8,200 And was not won. Numbers drawn were 3, 7, 13, 15.Consolation prize-winners in the Lucky Dip draw were as follows: €40 -- Mike Murphy, Mount ; €30 each to -- Lucy Barry Farranfore, c/o Tim Dineen, Jerry O’ Mahony C.C.C ; €20 each to -Margaret and Oisin, c/o P. Reidy, Donal Casey Coolnageragh, Brendan Rahilly Knockacorrin. Next draw in Flemings Bar on Sunday May 7th.

Now that Lent is over those people with Trocaire boxes or envelopes are asked to return same with their contributions to the Parish Office or to the sacristy in each of the churches in the parish.

TALK FOR PARENTS/ADULTS

Castleisland Interagency Youth Forum presents ‘Raising your Digital Child, with a Digital Personality safely, in today’s Digital World’ on this Thursday April 27th at River Island Hotel at 8p.m. The talk is for parents and adults. The presentation is delivered by an experienced investigator and a Masters of Sciences graduate in Forensic Computing and Cyber Crime Investigation. Admission is free.

ALZHEIMERS TEA DAY

Mary Murphy is holding an Alzheimers Tea Day in her home in Adriville on Thursday May 4, which will be all day from 10.30am. Please come along and support this deserving cause. All support will be greatly appreciated.

DEATH

The death occurred last week of Rita O Leary (nee O Connor) of Powells Road, Clashganniv, Castleisland and formerly of Mount, Scartaglen and Milleen, Kilcummin. The late Rita was pre deceased by her husband Michael and son Patrick. She is survived by her daughters and sons and by her brother Pat, grandchildren and extended family. The deceased was laid to rest in Scartaglen Cemetery on Friday last. May she Rest In Peace.
