KERRY ATHLETICS

Well done to Fiona Doyle who took gold in the Junior Women 200m at the Kerry Championships in Castleisland on Good Friday.

4 MILE RACE

Over 120 runners turned out on Easter Monday for the annual Boherbue to Kiskeam 4 mile road race. This race as always is very well organised by Gneeveguilla AC and has a large number of category prizes on offer. Well done to Anne Mangan who was flying the flag for Star of the Laune, and finished first place in her category.

MARATHONS

We had a number of club members completing the classic distance recently. First up was Niamh Clifford who completed the Boston Marathon on Monday April 17th. This was Niamh’s second marathon and despite a hot day in Boston, ran a superb race. Next up was Siobhan Falvey who took on the Connemara Marathon on Sunday 23rd April. This is a beautiful but very hilly marathon. Siobhan too ran a great race and on doing so successfully completed her fifth marathon. Not to be outdone John Kelliher travelled to London and took part in this famous marathon on Sunday 23rd also. John has already completed a number of marathons and a few full triathlons and he too had a great race in London. Well done Niamh, Siobhan & John.

TRAINING

Juvenile training takes place every Saturday at the Dragons Den, Killorglin from 11am to 12pm. Fit4life every Monday, Wednesday & Friday @ 7.30pm from the church carpark in Beaufort.

Speed training for over 8s with Shane o’ Sullivan on Fridays at the Dragons Den at 4.30pm.
