Physically stronger Castleisland claim Under 14 county title

U14 COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP CUP FINAL Castleisland 2-9 East Kerry 1-7

CASTLEISLAND were physically stronger. A significant factor in the weather condi- tions, but they also played superb football.

A Seán Horan goal after he replaced the injured Darragh Kelly gave them a 1-4 to 0-3 advantage at half-time and he added another one in the second half.

East Kerry battled bravely, Jack Lynch got a goal for them, but it was Castleisland, whose hard work at underage age has seen rich dividends for both themselves and Kerry teams, who ran out winners on a 2-9 to 1-7 score-line.
