TRACK AND FIELD FINALS

Last weekend the track and field finals of the Kerry Community Games were held at An Riocht, Castleisland. Great credit is due to the organising committee on their redeveloped track and a full programme of events was run off in a very organised and efficient manner.

The following won gold in their events: Shauna McCarthy & Cian Spillane - U14 800m , Michael Lynch U10 hurdles, John Sexton U10 200m. Huge congrats to these four who have now qualified to represent Kerry in their events in the national finals in August.

The following also enjoyed great success in their events: Donnacha Lynch won bronze in the U8 80m and there was 4thand a Certificate for Eabha McCarthy in u12 600m.

Rhian McCarthy U10 200m, Cian O’Brien, U12 100m, Robyn O’Connor U8 60m got into their respective finals and were unlucky to lose out.

It was a very satisfactory and hugely enjoyable weekend for us and a big thank you to all the athletes who represented our area and their families that travelled in support.
