Dineen’s second place moves him top of Time Trial League

ROUND 3 of the Time Trial League, run by Tralee Manor West iBike took place in very windy conditions making fast time hard for the riders. In the Senior’s section George Doyle cut through the wind to clock a time of 28.36 for the 20km course.

He was followed home by Sliabh Luachra’s Sean Dineen who stopped the clock in a 28.51 to take a second second place in a row. Killarney CC’s Conor Kissane was third in 29.17 with a trio of Tralee Manor West iBike riders completing the top six – Peter White (29.30), Ciaran Slattery (29.31) and Tom Gentleman (29.49).

The host clubs Suzanne O’Sullivan was again the quickest lady on the night in 33.33 while the u16’s also ride the 20km course and here Tralee Manor West iBike’s Eoin Moloney clocked the fastest time in 32.13. Killarney’s Tadgh O’Shea was second u16 on the night followed by Troy Kennedy from Kingdom CC.

In the underage Time Trial over 9.7km Adam Lenihan, Kingdom CC , was the fastest in 17.32 ahead of Ethan Slattery (Killarney) and Ciaran Commane (Kingdom CC).

Lousie Steadman Murphy (Killarney CC) clocked 20.55 for their run over the shorter distance and was the fastest followed by Eoin Hilliard (Kingdom CC), Killarney’s Callum Steadman Murphy and Sinead Barrett also from Killarney CC.

Road Race this Week: This Thursday night, July 6th, it is Round 6 of the Kerry Road Race League hosted by Tralee Manor West iBike. Sign On is in O’Riodas between 6.15 and 7pm. The u14’s are away at 6.25pm while the u12’s start at 6.32pm. There is a new route this year and the senior and u16 races start at Ballycarty Cross Iron Bridge at 7.20 and the circuit takes in the roundabout, Farranfore, Castleisla­nd By Pass, Fahaduff and a finish at the Reanagowan summit.
