An evening of traditional Irish dance, music and songs, every Thursday at Shebeen lounge bar from 7.30-9pm. Families welcome. Come and learn an Irish song or a traditional Irish dance, musicians and singers welcome .. Entry €5

The Old Barracks Heritage Centre now open with new local exhibition. Enjoy a coffee/scone in our café or get a guided tour.

Cahersiveen are calling on buskers for the summer season as there has been a serious influx of tourists to the town. Contact Cahersiveen tidy towns on Facebook or Lisa on 085 7204044. Judges will be arriving soon so can everyone please do their best to clean up and weed around properties.

Join us for a 1 hr walking tour of Caherciveen- The capital of the Iveragh Peninsula and gateway to the Skellig region. Explore the history of Caherciveen through the ages. Visit sites of historical interest. Discover the stories of: Daniel O Connell ‘The Uncrowned King of Ireland’. Monsignor Hugh O Flaherty ‘The Pimpernel of the Vatican’. Canon Brosnan and the Pope. Sigerson Clifford, Poet and Songwriter. Tours begin at Community Centre at 10.00 and 12.00 noon Mon to Friday-1st May to 30th September. Cost €5.00 per person. Scoil Saidhbhín wishes to sincerely thank the parents, grandparents and community of Cahersiveen and its environs for their fantastic support again this year. Thank you for supporting our school activities, special events and projects. The Parent Association of Scoil Saidhbhín wishes to acknowledge the wonderful support of our school fundraising initiatives such as the recent Cookery Demonstration by John Casey which raised €1366 for our school.
